The Sofitel Melbourne on Collins is a luxury 5 star hotel. Located at the Paris end of Collins St. enjoy shopping at some of the city’s best upmarket shops. The hotel has a café on the ground floor serving light snacks, teas and coffees. You can also book high tea here. For some fine dining in Melbourne, try its restaurant No.35. Not only do you get some amazing food, it comes with wonderful views of Melbourne, for No.35 menu please watch the video. If you book breakfast, it is also served here. There is also a gym and bar here.
To get some of the best room rates at the Sofitel, I look at websites the compare other booking sites such as TripAdvisor, Trivago and Hotelscombined. I also use Agoda, Bookings.com, Expedia or directly with the hotel’s website. Or use you preferred booking site. Prices vary depending on dates, so do your homework.
Sofitel Melbourne’s rooms while a little dated are of a good standard. The rooms I stayed had some of the best views of Melbourne I’ve seen from a hotel. Please see my video review of the Sofitel for more details.
If you are looking at where to stay in Melbourne in the upmarket range of hotels, Sofitel Melbourne is one of the best. I really enjoyed my stay here. The service was great, food was fantastic and the views amazing.
