On August 4, 2017, The Cordish Companies and Kansas City Power & Light District celebrated a major milestone with the topping out of the $120 million Two Light Luxury Apartment tower. Scheduled to open in 2018, the 296-unit Two Light will join One Light as the second new construction high-rise apartment building in the last 50 years in downtown Kansas City, MO. Remarks were made by the Executive Director of the Power & Light District, Nick Benjamin, President of the Downtown Council, Bill Dietrich, JE Dunn Midwest President, Dirk Schafer and City Manager for Kansas City, Troy Schulte.
