Emirates A380 Business Class Review Milan to Dubai (4K)

A general review of the main features of Business Class cabin of Emirates' A380.

Check my complete review down here:

The Business Class on Emirates’ A380 is located in the upper deck of the plane offering much more comfort and silence. The headroom is very good and is surely enough even for the tallest. The storage located over your head offers plenty of space for your cabin trolleys, backpacks and bags. On the A380 there is also plenty of storage space in the window seats.

The seat configuration is 1-2-1 so everybody has direct access to the corridor and great privacy. The center seats are perfect for couples even if the privacy panel can’t be completely lowered. There are two different window seats, one has the armchair near the window, the other one has it on the opposite side near the corridor meaning having less privacy and a difficult access to storage and windows. Every seat has a shoe storage under the TV screen.

The Upper Deck has 76 Business Class seats and an Onboard Bar. The bar is located at the back with 4 lavatories. The number of lavatories is small for 76 people, infact many times there are queues for using them.

The Onboard Bar is a great experience since no other aircraft has this feature and it is a great place to meet your friends or just have a chat with other passengers, the crew is very kind and will chat with you happily. In the bar you can taste little Canapes or some chips and any drinks you like prepared at the moment by the barman.

The experience starts from the priority boarding with a nice welcome champagne or juice. After take off is served an aperitif based on champagne or any of the cocktails available sided by some warm nuts.

The first meal service usually starts as soon as possibile, after the aperitif. You can choose between 3 appetizers and 3 main courses. I chose BaccalĂ  Mantecato as appetizer: it was very good. The only remark is the temperature of the dish, it is fridge temperature.. and this is not great, room temperature would be better. The main course was Chicken with mushrooms sauce: it was great, the cooking was perfect, it was tasty and soft. The sauce was perfect with it even if the chicken it self was already juicy. My choice for dessert was seasonal fruit since I’m not a great fan of desserts, it was fresh, nothing to remark. After lunch the crew prepared my bed with a mattress. After a while some ice cream was offered.

You can have good sleep on the A380, the bed is really flat and comfortable but the best thing is surely the silence, you have to speak very softly or you’ll wake up everybody!

The IFE is good, it has many movies and almost every language also recent ones. The quality of the screen is good but depends on how old is the aircraft. The only thing that doesn’t change is the dimension, 23”. It is touch but since it is pretty far away from the seat there is a small tablet available that has a battery and is wirelessly connected to the screen that can help to operate the IFE.

All A380 have Wi-Fi connectivity, Emirates gives 20 MB free to everybody, for the Skywards members the prices are discounted but the Blue (and over) Skywards members flying in First and Business Class can browse for all the duration of the flight without any limit. The speed is acceptable to chat and to send emails, surely is not good for heavy browsing and video streaming since it is a satellite connection.

The seat also has a USB plug and an electricity plug that are located under the screen, fortunately there is a small pocket under it where your can store your phone while in charge.

The Amenity kit is really nice, especially the female one can be used as a pochette is surely not ugly. It has everything you need and the quantities are big for just one night, the toothpaste can be used for 3-4 days and the shave foam too! The toothbrush is not a reduced dimension, it is the classic size and this is great. The only things missing are slippers and pijamas that are available only in First Class.

The negative aspects are not a lot but still there are some: 4 lavatories for 76 people is just too many, this has to be improved, the privacy panel of the two central seats should be going down completely since it can be uncomfortable sometimes. Another thing is the main course, the dish is not very big and is not a round dish that is what I prefer with decorations as you can expect from Business class they just keep Business class far different from First not following other airlines. The quality of the seat’s materials is also another thing, I expected a seat completely coated with premium quality leather while it is a multi-pattern seat with textile.

My final judgement: the Emirates Business Class on A380 is a great product with a comfortable seat, plenty of storage space and good food.

*This Judgment is just the result of my personal experience. I don't have any deal with Emirates and their companies.
